Data Protection Complaints Procedure

 

 

 

As a sole trader, I am committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly.  If you believe your data protection rights have been breached, you have the right to lodge a complaint directly with me.  Below is the procedure to make a complaint and details of how your complaint will be handled.

 

How to make a complaint. You can submit your data protection complaint by contacting me directly via email at  tracey@brightertimestherapies.co.uk

Please include your full name, contact details, and a clear description of your concern so I can investigate effectively.

 

My response timeline.

Step 1: Acknowledgement - I will acknowledge receipt of your complaint in writing within 30 days

Step 2: Investigation - I will thoroughly investigate your concern without undue delay to see how your data was handled

Step 3: Keeping you informed - If the investigation takes longer than expected I will provide you with regular progress updates

Step 4: Outcome - Once the investigation is complete, I will write to you to explain the outcome and any remedial actions taken.

 

Escalating your complaint

If you are unhappy with my final response or if I fail to respond to your complaint, you have the statutory right to escalate the matter to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
